Nostalgia Services currently serves clients residentially.
We have purposefully remained a small agency and have prided ourselves on the fact that we become “better, not bigger.” Our area of focus and expertise has been working with individuals who are interested in gaining as much independence as possible. Several of our clients have moved from situations where they needed 24-hour care to living in their own apartments with staff support.
Using natural supports such as helping clients identify helpers in their community has been helpful in assisting individuals with gaining independence.
For example, individuals may be trained how to shop for groceries independently if they know how to ask the bus drivers for help finding the supermarket and learn how to access assistance from the supermarket employees.
Creative problem solving has allowed us to provide a variety of needed residential services that make a difference.
